End February the temporary exhibition ‘Permanent Temporariness’ opened in the New York University Abu Dhabi Art Gallery.
NYUAD exhibition ‘Permanent Temporariness’ explores the lives of refugees spent stranded in limbo. Artists Sandi Hilal and Alessandro Petti explore collective spaces in Palestine, where lives are stuck in the camps.
This story, exemplary of the complexity of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, is brought to life in the work Common Assembly (2011), part of the New York University Abu Dhabi Art Gallery’s exhibition of work by the artist-architect duo Sandi Hilal and Alessandro Petti.
This temporary exhibition in Abu Dhabi UAE, is open until June and is carried out by Hypsos in Dubai, they performed the demolition work and construction of new walls in accordance with the new plans of the exhibition, and the full setup of the Ramallah Syndrome Room and The Tree School installation.
