The Guggenheim – The Making of a Museum

Masterpieces from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York are on display at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The exhibition features works by Paul Cezanne, Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Georges Seurat and other leading artists from the last half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

The Guggenheim: The Making of a Museum is on view at Gallery One at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi from November 17, 2009, to February 4, 2010.

Hypsos ME in Dubai realized the exhibition in a very short time together with the Guggenheim New York and Tourism Development Investment Company (TDIC).

About the exhibition

The Guggenheim: The Making of a Museum is the first exhibition to be organized by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in collaboration with Tourism Development Investment Company (TDIC) as part of a program of art and cultural development leading up to the opening of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. It will be accompanied by a rich program of educational events, and audio-guide tour, and a bilingual catalogue.
